Course Content

This comprehensive 3-day course covers all the topics covered in the 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work course, and goes beyond by including a wide range of additional essential skills.

Our training ensures learners are equipped to understand and effectively apply the following skills when assisting adults in the workplace:

– Assisting an unresponsive and breathing individual

– Assisting an unresponsive and not breathing individual, including the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)

– Assisting a choking individual

– Managing bleeding

– Responding to shock

– Managing burns

– Addressing faintness

– Responding to poisoning incidents

– Handling head injuries

– Managing hypothermia or heat exhaustion

– Addressing bone, muscle, or joint injuries (including spinal injuries)

Additionally, learners will be trained to provide assistance in case of:

– Seizures

– Heart attacks, including the administration of aspirin

– Angina attacks

– Strokes

– Asthma attacks

– Severe allergic reactions

– Diabetic emergencies

The course also includes valuable information on:

– Assessing a casualty

– Monitoring a casualty

– Knowing where to seek help

– Dealing with electrical incidents

– Accident recording and reporting

– The control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH)
